(1) The competent ethics committee shall examine whether the application is in proper form.

(2) Where documents relating to the application are missing without any justification being given for this, or where the application is not in proper form for other reasons, the competent ethics committee shall request the sponsor to remedy the deficiencies identified by it within ten days.
(2) Wenn Unterlagen zum Antrag ohne Begründung hierfür fehlen oder der Antrag aus sonstigen Gründen nicht ordnungsgemäß ist, fordert die zuständige Ethik-Kommission den Sponsor auf, die von ihr benannten Mängel innerhalb von zehn Tagen zu beheben.
The request shall include a statement that the time limit under section 51(1) begins to run only upon receipt of the application in proper form.

(3) The competent ethics committee shall confirm to the sponsor and to the ethics committees to be involved under section 50(2), within ten days, the receipt of the application in proper form, stating the date of receipt.
