(1) The chair of the arbitration board and the two other impartial members, or their deputies, shall receive travel expenses in accordance with the provisions on the reimbursement of travel expenses of federal civil servants under travel expense category C. The claim shall be directed against the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds.
(1) Der Vorsitzende der Schiedsstelle und die zwei weiteren unparteiischen Mitglieder oder ihre Stellvertreter erhalten Reisekosten nach den Vorschriften über die Reisekostenvergütung der Bundesbeamten nach der Reisekostenstufe C. For other cash expenses and for the time spent, they shall receive a lump sum, the amount of which shall be set by the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds in consultation with the associations concerned.

(2) The members of the arbitration board or their deputies shall be entitled to reimbursement of their cash expenses and to compensation for the time spent in accordance with the principles applicable to employees of the nominating associations or contracting parties.

The associations and contracting parties shall themselves bear the costs of the members nominated by them or of their representatives.

(3) The material and personnel costs of the management and the expenses under subsection (1) for the chair and the two other impartial members or their deputies shall be borne half by the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds and half by the other associations participating in the arbitration board.
