The start of use is the point in time at which the user first used a digital health application on the basis of a prescription or following an approval.

If the application period of a digital health application is 90 days or more than 90 days, use shall be deemed to have been discontinued if there has been no use for an uninterrupted period of three weeks.

3. the distribution of discontinuations of use across the weeks of the application period,
3. die Verteilung der Nutzungsabbrüche auf die Wochen der Anwendungsdauer,
4. the total number of users who used a digital health application for the entire application period,
4. die Gesamtzahl der Nutzer, die eine digitale Gesundheitsanwendung für die gesamte Anwendungsdauer genutzt haben,
5. the rate of users who used a digital health application for the entire application period, and
5. die Quote der Nutzer, die eine digitale Gesundheitsanwendung für die gesamte Anwendungsdauer genutzt haben, und
6. the average number of days that elapsed before use was discontinued.

(6) The Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) shall check the plausibility of the results of the outcome measurement accompanying use concerning the duration and frequency of use reported by the manufacturer of the digital health application.
(6) Das Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte prüft die von dem Hersteller der digitalen Gesundheitsanwendung gemeldeten Ergebnisse der anwendungsbegleitenden Erfolgsmessung zur Dauer und Häufigkeit der Nutzung auf Plausibilität.
If inconsistencies or queries arise in the checks under sentence 1, the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices may require the manufacturer of the digital health application to submit further information.
Ergeben sich bei den Prüfungen nach Satz 1 Unstimmigkeiten oder Nachfragen, so kann das Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte von dem Hersteller der digitalen Gesundheitsanwendung die Vorlage weiterer Informationen verlangen.
