The following inspections under Article 78 of Regulation (EU) No 536/2014 shall be carried out by the competent higher federal authority:

3. inspections to verify compliance with the reporting obligation under Article 52 of Regulation (EU) No 536/2014, and
3. Inspektionen zur Überprüfung der Meldepflicht nach Artikel 52 der Verordnung (EU) Nr. 536/2014 sowie
4. inspections for the purpose of deciding on measures under Article 77 of Regulation (EU) No 536/2014 concerning the authorisation of a clinical trial.

All other inspections under Article 78 of Regulation (EU) No 536/2014 to supervise compliance with Regulation (EU) No 536/2014 shall be carried out by the competent authority.

Unless otherwise provided in implementing acts under Article 78(7) of Regulation (EU) No 536/2014, the higher federal authority shall have, for the purpose of carrying out the inspection, the powers under section 64(4) items 1 to 3 and (4a), which shall be exercised in consultation with the competent authority.
