(1) Where a measure taken by the competent authority relating to consignments of food of animal origin from other Member States is disputed between that authority and the person entitled to dispose of the consignment, both parties may, by mutual agreement, have the dispute settled by the arbitral award of an expert.
(1) Ist eine von der zuständigen Behörde getroffene Maßnahme, die sich auf Sendungen von Lebensmitteln tierischer Herkunft aus anderen Mitgliedstaaten bezieht, zwischen ihr und dem Verfügungsberechtigten streitig, so können beide Parteien einvernehmlich den Streit durch den Schiedsspruch eines Sachverständigen schlichten lassen.
The dispute shall be submitted, within one month of notification of the measure, to an expert included in a list drawn up by the Commission.
Die Streitigkeit ist binnen eines Monats nach Bekanntgabe der Maßnahme einem Sachverständigen zu unterbreiten, der in einem von der Kommission aufgestellten Verzeichnis aufgeführt ist.
The expert shall deliver the opinion within 72 hours.

(2) The provisions of sections 1025 to 1065 of the Code of Civil Procedure (Zivilprozessordnung) shall apply mutatis mutandis to the arbitration agreement and the arbitral proceedings.
