The minimum duration of the university course of study may be three and a half years where the university course of study is followed by a period of theoretical and practical training of at least one year which includes a traineeship of at least six months in a pharmacy open to the public and which is concluded by an examination at university level.

The duration of the practical experience under sentence 1 may be reduced by one year where the university course of study lasts at least five years, and by one and a half years where the university course of study lasts at least six years.

Where two academic or university courses of study recognised as equivalent exist, one of which extends over four years and the other over three years, the certificate for the academic or university course of study recognised as equivalent lasting three years shall be deemed to fulfil the duration requirement under sentence 2, provided that the certificates for the two university courses of study are recognised as equivalent.

2. für Blutzubereitungen aus Blutzellen, Zubereitungen aus Frischplasma sowie für Wirkstoffe und Blutbestandteile zur Herstellung von Blutzubereitungen eine mindestens zweijährige transfusionsmedizinische Erfahrung, die sich auf alle Bereiche der Herstellung und Prüfung erstreckt,
3. for autologous blood preparations, at least six months of experience in transfusion medicine or one year of activity in the manufacture of autologous blood preparations,

For the pre-treatment of persons for the separation of haematopoietic stem cells from peripheral blood or of other blood components, the responsible physician shall demonstrate adequate knowledge and at least two years of experience in this or another comparably qualifying activity.

6. for active substances other than those listed in subsection (3) sentence 3 item 2, at least two years of activity in the manufacture or testing of active substances

(4) The practical experience under subsection (1) shall be acquired in an establishment for which an authorisation for the manufacture of medicinal products has been granted by a Member State of the European Union, by another Contracting State to the Agreement on the European Economic Area or by a state with which mutual recognition of certificates under section 72a sentence 1 item 1 has been agreed.
(4) Die praktische Tätigkeit nach Absatz 1 muss in einem Betrieb abgeleistet werden, für den eine Erlaubnis zur Herstellung von Arzneimitteln durch einen Mitgliedstaat der Europäischen Union, einen anderen Vertragsstaat des Abkommens über den Europäischen Wirtschaftsraum oder durch einen Staat erteilt worden ist, mit dem eine gegenseitige Anerkennung von Zertifikaten nach § 72a Satz 1 Nr. 1 vereinbart ist.
(6) Activity as a qualified person lawfully carried out after verification of the required expert knowledge by the competent authority shall also entitle the person concerned to carry out that activity within the area of responsibility of another competent authority, unless there are well-founded indications that the existing expert knowledge is not sufficient for the new activity to be carried out.
(6) Eine nach Überprüfung der erforderlichen Sachkenntnis durch die zuständige Behörde rechtmäßig ausgeübte Tätigkeit als sachkundige Person berechtigt auch zur Ausübung dieser Tätigkeit innerhalb des Zuständigkeitsbereichs einer anderen zuständigen Behörde, es sei denn, es liegen begründete Anhaltspunkte dafür vor, dass die bisherige Sachkenntnis für die neu auszuübende Tätigkeit nicht ausreicht.
