(1) Tissue within the meaning of section 1a item 4 of the Transplantation Act (Transplantationsgesetz) or tissue preparations within the meaning of section 20c(1) sentence 1 or sentence 2 which are the subject of a one-off import may be imported only by an importing tissue establishment within the meaning of section 72b(1) sentence 1.

The importing tissue establishment shall require an authorisation from the competent authority for the one-off import.

The decision on the grant of the authorisation shall be taken by the competent authority of the Land in which the importing tissue establishment's site is or is to be located.

(2) A one-off import is the import of a tissue or tissue preparation on behalf of a specific person who has stored that tissue or tissue preparation with a third-country supplier for future use for himself or herself or for relatives in the first or second degree.

It is permitted to supply the tissue or tissue preparation to a person who is a physician and who is to administer the tissue or tissue preparation to the specific person or the closely related person.

(3) The application for an authorisation under subsection (1) sentence 2 shall be accompanied by the information and documents referred to in Annex I, with the exception of Part F, to Directive (EU) 2015/566.
