(1) The German Food Code Commission shall be established at the Federal Ministry.

(2) The Federal Ministry, in agreement with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, shall appoint the members of the Commission from the fields of science, food control, consumers and the food industry in numerically equal proportions.
(2) Das Bundesministerium beruft im Einvernehmen mit dem Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie die Mitglieder der Kommission aus den Kreisen der Wissenschaft, der Lebensmittelüberwachung, der Verbraucherschaft und der Lebensmittelwirtschaft in zahlenmäßig gleichem Verhältnis.
The Federal Ministry shall appoint the chair of the Commission and the chair's deputies and shall, after hearing the Commission, issue rules of procedure.
Das Bundesministerium bestellt den Vorsitzenden der Kommission und seine Stellvertreter und erlässt nach Anhörung der Kommission eine Geschäftsordnung.
(3) The Commission should, as a rule, adopt resolutions on the guidelines unanimously.

Resolutions which have been approved by not more than three quarters of the members of the Commission shall be invalid.
Beschlüsse, denen nicht mehr als drei Viertel der Mitglieder der Kommission zugestimmt haben, sind unwirksam.
